Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA) located in Nairobi, Kenya is a public education institution established in the year 2003 to provide and coordinate In-Service Education and Training (INSET) for practicing teachers of Mathematics and Science in Kenya.

The second edition of the TeachHer Master Training Session for Africa that started on 24th July ,was held for over five days upto today Friday 28th July 2017.

The main objective of the second TeachHer Regional Training for Africa is to provide participating teachers with ‘hands on’ training on how to inspire and impart Science,Technology, Engineering, Arts/Design, and Math (STEAM) skills to students in a gender-equal, engaging and empowering way and to exchange best practices in effective development of girls-oriented STEAM courses and supplemental enrichment programs (after school clubs, Technovation challenge, etc.) that will provide girls with additional opportunities to develop STEAM and global citizenship skills through girls-oriented app development contests, access to mentors, etc.

10 countries  in Africa: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania,  Madagascar, Senegal, Zambia and Zimbabwe are participating.
